The Clerk & Master is appointed to her office by the Chancellor and is charged with all the clerical and administrative duties conferred upon all elected Clerks of Court in Tennessee and is further authorized by statutes, by Local Rules of Practice and by Court Order to serve as a Master in Chancery for the Fifteenth Judicial District. Such duties include, but are not limited to:
- attend court
- invest funds under the Clerk’s control
- maintains rule and execution dockets
- file and enter all documents, pleadings, papers and exhibits
- perform all other duties as required by law
In addition to her administrative duties in the Chancery Division, the Clerk & Master in Wilson County also serves as a judicial officer for the Probate Division.
